If my Ovarian Cyst burst, will tissue show up in my period?!

Question: If my Ovarian Cyst burst, will tissue show up in my period.?
I had terrible pain on Monday went to the dr and found I had a large ovarian cyst. I have surgery scheduled for tomorrow to remove it. Yesterday i thoought I was getting my period, but it was very light. This morning I woke up and the blood was heavy, with several clumps of what apperaed to be skin or tissue. Is this residue from teh cyst bursting.?.? Or another miscarriage (I had one in the spring..) My dr's office opens in a few hours..just looking for words of wisdom until i call..Health Question & Answer

Hon, it may very likely be another miscarriage. Sorry. I have been there myself both with the ovarian problems and miscarriages and I know the anguish and pain both cause. You should reach out to your doctor this morning to let him/her know about this development. I hope you heal quickly and painlessly...I wish you luck!Health Question & Answer

It's likely from the bleeding as a result of the ruptured cyst. I'm more than a little shocked you weren't rushed into surgery immediately upon diagnosis; a ruptured ovarian cyst is an emergency because you could bleed to death in a couple hours. And you've time to monkey around on the computer this morning.? I wonder whether you're telling the whole truth here...Health Question & Answer
