Question: Menstruation activities (ladies only).?
Do any of you ladies go to the gym in spite of your period.? I am concerned because I work with a personal trainer and it's a tough work out...when I am on my cycle I can barely stand for longer than 10 minutes where I don't leak through a tampon(super) and a pad both.

I am so concerned that this could happen while at the gym, is there anyone with a heavy flow that knows what to do in this case.?Health Question & Answer

Tampons and pads are not the only option for femine hygeine. Have you considered a menstrual cup.? It is inserted into the vagina and catches the flow, much better at preventing leaks. From one website:

If the idea of this leaves you a little queasy, consider two tampons.

If your flow tends to be extremely heavy, you could consider taking birth control, which will help regulate and decrease your flow. The pills could help your flow become more manageable & that way you don't have to worry about going to the gym and having leaks.Health Question & Answer

You might be wearing the tampon wrong. I don't see how you could really bleed that much.

The other option, if you really ARE bleeding THAT much, and holy god that's a lot of blood... you had really better see a doctor.... a super tampon should last you a good 4-6 hours on your heaviest flow...Health Question & Answer

have your tried i think its by platex SPORT it opens up all the way around. i have never leaked. it is hard to even get out, it really opens all the way. you can put it on before your workout where a thin pad and sweats. Health Question & Answer

Put two tampons in and also maybe you could swim on that day. There is no bleeding when you're in water. Or you could just not go that day. I'm sure you only bleed that much for a couple of days, not the whole cycle.Health Question & Answer

take a break then, seems like a perfect excuse to rest your muscles for like 4 days and then when you go back to your workout routines your muscles will feel brand new. Health Question & Answer
