For 3 months i went without a period.. now for the last 3 weeks I have been bleeding with a lot of clots.. my doctor says its normal because i went without a period for 3 months.. She prescribed me low ogestrel to stop the bleeding and its making me very sick with vomiting, shakes,and sweating. Should i stop taking the low egostrel and let the period run it's natural course.? I don't know... anyone ever have bad side effects with this drug.? My husband and I are trying to have a baby and it just doesn't seem like I will ever get a chance to get pregnant..Health Question & Answer

THIS EXACT same thing happened to me. I missed my period for three months due to stressful situations. Then when it came I had it exactly for 21 days. 7 days for each period missed! The women's body is pretty smart eh.?
Well basically you have 3 months worth of uterine lining built up and it now needs to all come out. When that happened to me the flow was RIDICULOUSLY heavy. I would fill a super nighttime pad from front to back in about an hour and a half. It was discusting. I also had really large nasty looking clots that fell out of me like little babies!

I hope your Dr. was a GYN - Have you been diagnosed with a tilted uterus.? That's what happened to me - since the uterus was tilted(mine was sideways) -I didn't have a period until it became so full that it tipped back - and then I went for 2-3 weeks at a time. If you have a tipped uterus - it makes it harder to get pregnant - they can try a pessary (weight) in the uterus to make it sit straight - and hopefully you can conceive - See a good fertility GYN - Good luckHealth Question & Answer
well do what you think is best or call your doctor and tell them you are having this problem with the meds the fact that you didnt have the period for months there may be a problem go to an obgyn and get checked out and if you are ttc there maybe a problem with your insides did you get checked for ectopic pregnancies and your tubes
when i had a tubal i didnt have a period for two months just some light spotting here and there then the blood wouldnt stop i was enternally bleeding and had a lot of cramping i had to have one tube removed and alot of medication go to the doctor if you dont feel right

Check with your doctor right away about the side effects. There should be something else you can take. And don't worry about getting pregnant. I have a friend who has 3 boys, but said she spent more time having miscarriages than she did actually carrying a baby to term.Health Question & Answer

I have the same problem, no period for a couple months or a year, and then I have one, and seems like it lasts forever. And the clots, I think I'm losing major blood, but it's not as much as it seems. It does make it a little harder to get pregnant, but unless there are other problems you should be ok. The rule for bleeding is: If you soak through a pad and hour, like totally soak through, then you need to call your doctor immediately. Or if you feel light-headed, faint, or dizzy call your doctor.
Do not stop taking your pills. You can ask if there is a diffrent kind available. The side effects wont kill you. Unless you vomit continually it will be ok.
Other than that, your just going to have to wait. There are medications out there to regulate your period, try asking your doctor about that. Call your doctor if you're still bleeding in 2 more wks. Good Luck!! Tell your man to be extra nice to ya!!!Health Question & Answer
