Ignore stupid, immature boy above! If you've been on your period for over 2 weeks straight you should talk to your physician about taking a different type of birth control. I have had this same problem when I took the shot. It just depends on your body. For me I love the pill I am on and haven't had any prob's so find out one that works best for you and your body. also, if you just started taking this pill for the first time ever do understand that it can mess up your cycle initially. Take the pill you last missed and keep taking it at the same time every day (especially if you're sexually active). Health Question & Answer

If 2 weeks is abnormally long for your period (and it sounds like it is), I would place a call in to the prescribing doctor to let them know what's going on. That does seem a bit excessive for only missing 2 days, but it may depend on your medical history or the specific pill you're on. Better to check with a medical professional, though. Good luck!

Your body is adjusting all over again. Birth control pills are filled with estrogen. You body is used to a normal 28 day cycle, so if you start messing with the cycle, your period is going get all messed up. Your body is confused and adjusting.Health Question & Answer
