Ortho Tri Lo and Acne question?!
Question: Ortho Tri Lo and Acne question.?
Have you had success with Ortho-tri Lo and acne.? I know the LO isn't specifically usually prescribed for acne, however my doctor highly recommended it. I'm taking it more for the birth control aspect than anything else, and I only ever have very mild breakouts, I just wondered if it would help clear that up.?

I was on the normal tri cyclen then changed to the low, it actually made my acne worse and my periods heavier for some reason even tho its supposed to make them lighter, my acne was controlled on the normal and my periods were 4 days compared to 7 with the low.
I have crazy problematic skin, I started using biotherm acno pure face wash (all the acno pure products are amazing) and clinique toner (pink) the stuff is also amazing! I also use the proactive scrub a couple times a week, this is the only skin regimen that has worked for me...lotion I dont really use but I do have the prep lotion that came with my make-up kit (bare minerals) i think its called "rev-up" it has 2 main acne fighting ingredients, so when I need to moisturize I use that otherwise my skin gets too oily and will break out from any other lotions even expensive acne treatment ones...and that rev up stuff keeps your skin matte ;)

My doc put me on Ortho Tri Lo to clear up my skin and it made me gain 30 pounds. I'd rather have a breakout now and then! It took about 3 months to get my weight back to normal.

I have used ortho tri lo for 3 years and if you don't have bad acne then it will work for you. It helped my acne. But if you have a bad case of acne then this b.c. won't help you in that aspect. Health Question & Answer
