Question: Is anyone using Nuvaring.? .?
I'm 15 years old. I went to the GYN to get some birth control for my periods because I barf and get crazy diarrhea on my period and I have like intense pain, so I wanted to get some birth control to hopefully end or lessen my symptoms. The nurse there was telling me about how much she likes Nuvaring and that she recommends it, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I just want to make sure that I got the information right. Basically the first time I put it in will be 5 day of my period and then I leave it in for 3 weeks and take it out and put it in the 5th day and so on. She said that I could like put in like a tampon applicator and put it in that way. If I have sex will the guy feel the ring is another one of my questions. Umm but basically I just wanted to know if there are any more tips or anything like that. Health Question & Answer

I used it for the first time this month. My doctor also told me to use the tampon applicator, which did not work, I ended up putting it in myself without the help of the applicator. After the three weeks, I went to take it out and could not find it. After I make an emergency gyno visit the doctor said it was still in there, but had moved into an awkward place. I wish there was a way to prevent it from moving around, I was afraid mine fell out. I will be trying this again for the next two months, if it does not get easier then I will be asking for a different form of birth control.Health Question & Answer
I've heard a few horror stories of Nuvaring. Having it fall out within weeks, and that it makes sex awkward. I mean they say it should stay in place and that sex should be fine with it in, but i've spoken to way too many people who say this isn't the case, and I've seen 2 girls who had used the nuva ring for awhile, knew how to use it, knew how to properly place it, and they both got pregnant while on it.
I personally wouldn't trust a little rubber ring floating around the inside of my vagina to prevent me from getting pregnant.Health Question & Answer
