Question: Period cramps.? HELLP.?
I got my period a few months ago, and I get really big period cramps.
What are some good ways to get rid of them.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I went to the doctor and he prescribed me some muscle relaxants (I think thats what they were anyway) to start taking a couple of days before my period was due. Worked a treat. My periods were unbearable, enough to make me feel physically sick and bad enough to make me cry. I had never had problems until the age of 27/28. If yours are not that bad then hot water bottles, mild excercise, primrose oil, and paracetamol (I use Beechams powders) can all work.Health Question & Answer

Advil (ibuprofen). Take it every 8 hours even if you aren't hurting yet. It helps with the pain and can lighten the bleeding too.

Lay on your back and put your feet up against the wall so your knees are bent in like the fetal position.

Sometimes, If I can get myself to do something active, even with the pain, then the pain gets better.Health Question & Answer
