I am on Cezarette (POP) and i have just realised something very stupid i have done. For a start i missed my pill this week, but i haven't had sex in the past couple of weeks, nor do i intend to in the upcoming weeks (breakup!) i will however, carry on taking as norm. Basically about 3 weeks+ ago (can't remember precisely) i took my pill at about 6:30pm and i threw up a fair amount from about 8.30ish onwards. I had sex later that evening with my bf (obviously HUGELY stupidly as i was not in the best of sorts) and i had forgotten until now about the possible danger. i didn't realise this error and carried on as norm. had sex once more about a week later. I think i may be coming on my period but it has been about 5 weeks since my last. Should i take a test.? Thanks!Health Question & Answer

You should carry out a pregnancy test, if anything just to put your own mind at risk. Most home pregnancy tests can be carried out from the day that your period is due. Counting the number of days from the first day of your period until the day before your next period is due to start, will give you your usual cycle length. Your cycle however could be disrupted from being on the pill and with added worry about the situation this could also affect your late period. also it is important to remember that even your pill is not 100% effective and you may need to use other forms of contraception aswell.

Take a test if you are late. I had missed my period by three days (was on the pill) and it came up positive. I am now over four months pregnant and am glad that I took the test early as the early months of development are so crucial to the fetus. Either way, positive or negative, knowing why you are late is important to you and your potential baby's health. Health Question & Answer
i think you should take a test, as at least this way you will be able to tell wheather or not you are (obviously!) and you cant sort out what to do from here on depending on the result.

Cezarette is a progestogen only contraceptive. It provides almost immediate protection against pregnancy, unfortunately, it does not provide protection if there is more than a 12 hour gap in the scheduled dose. POP contraceptives are good, but they are very dose sensitive.

I know you don't want to hear this, but I feel obligated to say it. You should be using condoms, too. Not just to decrease your your chances of getting pregnant, but to decrease your chances of getting some STD. I know you truly believe your boyfriend is clean, but diseases like Herpes may be present even without ever exhibiting any symptoms. Small genitial warts are often unseen, too. If you get genital warts, known as HPV, you drastically increase your risk for cervical cancer. Not to mention, HIV will kill you.
