Ok chick, a couple of questions.

Number one, how old are you.?
Number two, where are you in your monthly cycle.?

When doing self breast examination, most doctors recommend you do it around the same time each month. During your menstrual cycle, your breasts change. For example, during your period or right before, they may feel more tender.

also, if you have something going on with your lymph nodes, that can also contribute to changes in your "chest area". But, it sounds like you're still growing. Have a heart to heart with your Mom. If that's not possible, find out whether you can go to the department of health in your county for some education and a quick exam.

Good luck hun. Try and relax. It's probably nothing.

EDIT: If you haven't even begun your monthly cycle, I would think this is some "growing" stuff. You still need to find some Mommy time as long as that's what you're comfortable with. Moms are great with these questions, plus, we've been through it. Don't be scared. You're growing into a young woman and things won't feel "normal" for quite some time yet.Health Question & Answer

Don't panic!

Something to concider...

Are you on your period or about to start.? Many women get lumps in their breast around this time, natural and nothing to worry about.
Is it on the surface.? There are pores on your chest and it's possible to get a zit.
Are you still very young with developing breasts.? If you are it's possible you are just sore from that and the lumps are organs inside.
Does your other breast have the same lump in it.? Again, it could just be organs inside. Press hard enough on any breast and you'll feel the things inside of it.

It could mean a zit, a cyst, cancer, or nothing. You can have someone you trust do a breast exam on you (my husband checks me once a month for a second opinion), but when in doubt a doctor visit is always best.Health Question & Answer

I remember growing pains where it felt like my chest was falling off, but nothing was there yet. The fluctuations of hormones along with diet can affect the "lumpiness", but the best thing to do is to consult your physician. And remember this, when you do get a womanly "chest" always do monthly self exams and if you have anything out of the ordinary always followup with your physician.Health Question & Answer
