Symptoms... Please Help?!

Question: Symptoms... Please Help.?
I can't talk to my mom about this, cause she will freak out. I had a problem with anorexia before, so she will automatically assume this is the problem.
So my symptoms are:
--Light-headed when i get up, to the point that I have to sit back down.
--Tired out way to easily.
--Can only eat small amounts at a time, but all day long.
--Fingers sometimes go numb.
--Everything just starts spinning, while I haven't even moved.
--Bruise easily
--Extremely cold nature-d, wear hoodies at the beach, during July 4
That's all I can think of right now, I'll had more when I think of them.Health Question & Answer

Hi.
The symptoms you describe could possibly be caused by a number of conditions.
The problem is, one or two of them could be serious and may require medical attention.
The light headedness, tiredness, numbness, spinning sensation and feeling of tiredness could all be due to anaemia OR hypotension (low blood pressure).
The most worrying thing is the bruising. This could be caused by a clotting disorder or even a more serious blood disorder which could be causing anaemia.
You MUST talk to your Mum about this because you need to see a doctor. There may not be anything seriously wrong with you but it is not possible to say this definitely without a blood test, or at least a physical examination and a full medical history.
Please don't ignore these symptoms and don't take any medical advice from anyone on Yahoo Answers who may not know what they are talking about and certainly can't make a diagnosis from the information you have provided.
I sincerely hope that you're OK but the only way to be sure is to have a proper check-up.
Good luck and please let me know how you get on.Health Question & Answer

There could be a lot of explanations for your symptoms. You really need to go and see a doctor.

Just tell your mom that you have not been feeling good lately and would like to go and see your doctor. Then, when you are alone with your doctor, you can tell he or she everything that you said here so that they can find out what is wrong with your and treat it. also, they cannot tell your mom anything that you tell them. It is called doctor/patient confidentially and if they break this confidence, they can loose their license to practice medicine.

Good luck and get to a doctor!Health Question & Answer

have you recovered from your anorexia.? because all of these symptoms sound related to the disease. most of them (light-headedness, coldness, numb fingers) all have to do with poor circulation, which is caused by the weakening of your heart. your heart is put under extra strain when you don't get enough nutrition.

so if you're still anorexic that's why. if not, you might want to talk to someone about it. if it's bothering you enough to put on here, it's bothering you enough to get it taken care of.Health Question & Answer

seems like you have a iron deficiancy that could be corrected with the use of vitamins, you also need to be eating more healthy foods or your body is goind to be deprived of nutrients i suggest you talk to a nutritionist or a pharmicist or even a doctor, im only an EMT. hope this helps Health Question & Answer

You could be lacking in Iron & Folic Acid. Make sure you eat lean meat. If you're vegetarian eat lots of leafy greens & eggs. At your age a muti vitamin supplement would help. Avoid fatty foods and too many sweets. Choose low GI options. But i sugguest you see a doctor - even if you can't approach your mum.Health Question & Answer

Seriously, you absolutely need to see a dr. Tell your mom, no matter what she thinks, but at least she'll take you to the dr and you can then tell her to leave the room and talk to him or her.Health Question & Answer

You should probably go to the doctor. It is really hard to treat somone online.
The symptoms can be attributed to many things. From some of the symptoms it sounds like anemia. That in itself can be linked to other problems.

You eat very little or no meat at all. You bleed monthly so you iron depletes out of the blood stream. You were anorexic so you haven't been eating meat for a long time. If there is no iron in your blood you develop aneamia which is quite serious. There is a lack of oxygen in your body because the red blood corpuscle in your blood needs an iron molecule for the oxygen molecule to attach to while it transports the oxygen around your body. Think of the blood stream as an extremely dangerous, bumpy racing track and the iron is the safety belt inside your racing car(red corpuscle). When the blood corpuscle bumps into something, the oxygen falls out where it is not supposed to.In order for the body to take up iron, you must also have vitamin B12.The only food source with both of these together is red meat.In a nutshell, you have run out of petrol and you need to top up on iron. It is a long, slow process and will take up to a year or more to get your blood to the correct levels. You need to take iron supplements everyday and vitamin B12. You have to eat red meat.Try a small quantity everyday.Beef jerky will do too. You should see a doctor so he can confirm this and give you an iron prescription. You probably also have low blood pressure which will make you feel worse. You can function but it is a hard battle. You must not ignore this and the side affects of aneamia are serious if left untreated. Good luck sweetheart.Health Question & Answer
