Question: Females only... questions about tampons and "that time of the month"... serious answers only please!!.?
I'm just starting out having periods and I want to know the answers to a few questions:

1. Are tampons better than pads.? If so/if not why.?
2. Is it possible to get tampons up the wrong hole.?
3. Can tampons get stuck.?
4. How do you know how far to put tampons up and what if it's not far enough or too far.?

Thanks ladies.Health Question & Answer

1. Tampons are way better than pads. For one, you don't have to walk around with a big pad in your panties all day and feel when the blood comes out. You can swim during your period if you wear a tampon.
2. No, you can't put it in the wrong hole. There's only your vagina and your butt hole, which would hurt terribly.
3. They don't get stuck. After you insert it, there will be a little string hanging out of you and you just pull it to take the tampon out.
4. Read the directions that come in the box. That's how I learned. My mom never talked to me about it, so I looked in one of her boxes and figured it out. Just try it. You don't have to be on your period to try.Health Question & Answer

1. That's a matter of personal preference
2. Only if you don't know the difference between your anus and vagina; your urethra is too small to put a tampon in.
3. Rarely, by having vaginal intercourse while it's in, by inserting a new one before removing one; you can still remove it they don't get lost up there.
4. You want it far enough that only the string is out, if you can still feel it inside you it's not far enough, you can't really push it up there too far... Health Question & Answer

Pads are actually considered better by a lot of doctors-it allows what needs to come out to do so but tampons can be used and they are cleaner than using a pad-be sure to read warnings of TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) on the box and watch for those symptomns.
Not possible to put in wrong hole unless you really don't know your parts!
Never had it happen but I knew someone who has had the string break off her tampon and had to go the doctors to have it removed.
When the tampon feels comfortable-it's in right-sometimes when inserted too far you might feel a little pain but it shifts-want stay inserted too far and when not in all the way-it's uncomfortable so you'll know.Health Question & Answer

1. Tampons are sooooo much cleaner than pads. I just started using them a while ago and i feel great. Pads feel like a diaper to me, but i use them at night anyways.
2. Its not possible. You would know immediately, cause its alot harder to get it in your butt.
3.They cant get stuck, if your stressed or the tampon hasn't absorbed enough its harder to get it out. The string is impossible to break from the tampon, unless u cut it of coarse.
4. I have the plastic applicator tampons. And near the base there is a groove where you hold it and that's about as far in as you should get it. Thats where its the most comfortable, a little shy of it, you just have to push it in with your finger till you feel comfortable.

Hope that helps!Health Question & Answer
