What should i do about a super bad period?!

Question: What should i do about a super bad period.?
i'm in 7th grade, started my period when i was 10, i think.

every time i have a period it gets worse and worse and worse. one time i would use an overnight pad completely full in about a half an hour. sometimes i have cramps so bad that i cannot breathe properly and have to hold my breath to avoid pain. i have vaginal cramps down by my crotch that impair my walking. my back cramps get really bad and i have to see a chiropractor every time. usually i get my periods every 2-3 weeks from end to start and i get sick to my stomach and either throw up or get diarrhea about a week before i get my period. i get anemic and stay anemic for a long time during and after periods...this is just the third day and my face is already really pale. one time i got it so bad that after sitting down for 15 minutes i would fall asleep in that position because i had no energy.

what should i do about this... they're killing me!!!Health Question & Answer

talk to your mom or an adult female you can trust, tell them you want to go to the gynecologist and get checked out. tell the doctor everything that goes on with your period. it might be something as simple as starting a birth control pill,i had the same problem and that worked for me. i hope everything goes better for you and until then try a heating pad for the pain.Health Question & Answer

Honey, why haven't you gone to a Gynecologist.?
Your symptoms are not normal. Please keep track and make note of all your symptoms and the time frames and then have a parent take you to the GYN.
It sounds like you are missing out on some fun stuff because of this.
also, a heating pad used on your back and your stomach will help ease some of the pain and taking ibuprofen should help, too. Regular cramp/headache pills don't do it.

This doesn't sound like a normal period. What I would suggest is to go and see a doctor. It sounds like you may have endometriosis, which is a condition with symptoms similar to what you are suffering from. For more information on this, check out WebMD, or Yahoo! Health. There you can see the symptoms and what can be done to help you. But definitely make an appointment to see a doctor. You shouldn't have to suffer like this. Health Question & Answer

to avoid getting sick to your stomach and throwing up drink hot spite and take 2 midols or ibuprofen 200mG relax breath comfortably get lots of rest for the bleeding i cant you help with that buy always or kotex super heavy pads and change it every 2 hours or so thats what i do cuz i have the same problem hpoe it gets better!!!!!Health Question & Answer

Go to a clinic and get birth control. They will give it to you fro free. It may not help you with the extreme bleeding, but they will help you with the cramps if you remember to take them daily. also, talk to them about the rest of you symtoms and see what else they can suggest. Make sure they know that you want it for the cramps and such and not for sexual reasons.Health Question & Answer

How about go see a doctor.? That doesn't sound normal, I had a friend who had similar symptoms and they simply gave her a historectomy because of the pain she felt every month. A lot of people take birth control to have better control of their periods, but your issue seems a bit more complex than a simple pill can handle. I'd go see a doctor...Health Question & Answer

I have this same problem :( Midol and Advil help (not together, lol)

my mom said the same thing happened to her, so it's pretty normal. there is nothing wrong, don't be worried love. Most of my friends have this problem, and I'm jealous of my friends that don't! It's torture, sometimes, it's so bad, I actually wish I were born a boy! :OHealth Question & Answer

oh my.. sound like you have really bad pms and during period.. you have too much blood loss, you should start taking iron to keep you healthy.. and you should definitely talk to your doctor about that..
there is a link here that is very similar to your problem.. so you might want to print it and bring to your doctor to make sure if that is what you are having.. I hope doctor will investigate it then tell you no.. but here

The truth nothing is gonna help it unless you go to a doctor..Why.?.? Because my mom and cousin had the same problem..They would faint, cry, and well they wouldnt go to work or school because of this, so they had to see a doctor. So the doctor gave them some special pills medication to help them and well the pain goes away everytime..Like if nothing..So thats what I thinkHealth Question & Answer

You really need to go to a doctor...there could be a serious issue that needs to be addressed. also if you don't mind me asking about your weight, that may have some to due with it also. I am thin and I get the same effects as you do occasionally. Health Question & Answer

Wow, that's bad. D:

Well, i'd say to just drink a lot of water and do a lot of exercise. That should shorten it a little and make you feel less pain.

Sorry you have to deal with it. D: You should get a doctor to check it out.Health Question & Answer

You poor thing. :(

I'm in seventh grade also, though I have not had mine yet.

I recommend going to see a doctor. This sounds horrible and maybe he can prescribe mild medication to help relieve your pain.

Is your name by any chance, Jenna.?Health Question & Answer

See your doctor, and I hate to say this because you're kind of young, but he may consider birth control pills because they make you have much lighter, shorter, and less often periods. Health Question & Answer

Please don't listen to people that just tell you to deal with it; these symptoms are not normal. Go see a gynecologist and tell him or her what is going on, and you should be able to get some help.

Best of luck!Health Question & Answer

I think there is a problem, especially because you have it for 21 days once. See your pediatrician immediately!
