GIRLS ONLY: does the first time at the gynecologist hurt?!

Question: GIRLS ONLY: does the first time at the gynecologist hurt.?
I'm 16 and I've never been to the gynecologist before, but I've heard what they do to you. It sounds pretty unpleasant and sounds like it will hurt really bad. You see, I'm really "tight" down there (not trying to sound gross or anything) and I'm so scared that it will hurt.

So can you tell me how it feels.?

also, the thought of them touching my ovaries sounds so completely... jkhsdfjklashdfjashdifhuwe4ntkjy!!!!!!Health Question & Answer

Answers:
no, it doesnt hurt, just uncomfortable, if they're going to do a pelvic exam just tell her you've never had one before and are nervous and she will go slow, she will also look at your vagina before she does it and decide what size speculum to use, so if you are really small down there she will probably use a small speculum, and she won't actually touch your ovaries, just your vaginal walls and cervix.
if you relax it won't feel as bad!
good luck.Health Question & Answer

You can read all about it here:

It shouldn't hurt if you have sex already. The doctor uses way more lube than you would consider using during sex. The hardest part is relaxing. If you can relax it will be less uncomfortable. You may feel some pressure. Health Question & Answer
