I am scared about tampons, and it hurts some times, ?!

Question: I am scared about tampons, and it hurts some times, .?
I got my period on the 13 of October then I was 14 and I turned 15 on October 24, the first time and I used pads and had it for 5 days and now I am about to get it again and I wanted to use tampons so my mom got these healthy ones because she said normal one make you bleed more so you buy more, well I tried one and I had to push it in really slowly and one it was in it hurt to come out and I thought it was stuck and so I pulled harder but it hurt badly and now I don't want to use tampons because I dont want it to hurt, why did it hurt.? What should I do.? Health Question & Answer

It hurt because you aren't used to anything being up there. You'll adjust to it though. What I would do is make sure you buy the slim fit tampons. That's what a lot of girls, including myself, start off with. However, it will probably still feel weird the first couple times. But once it's in it is totally worth it. You won't be able to feel it at all and it will be much less messy than a pad. also, make sure you're putting it in at the right angle. If you're just pushing it straight up or the wrong way, it won't go in so easily. Use the instruction guide that comes with the pads.
One more thing, if you mess up and have to pull it out it will hurt because it hasn't absorbed anything and it's dry. It won't feel like this after you've worn it for a couple of hours.

Get the slender size tampons and put vaseline on the end of it (cover the tip and upper sides but don't glob it on.) Buy some panty liners just in case of leaks, and change the tampon often, like every 2 hours. Tampons won't make you bleed more but after you get used to them, use a larger size tampon for the heavier flow days.Make sure you change them to avoid smells, infection, and toxic shock.
Welcome to the wonderful world of womanhood!! Ick! :)Health Question & Answer

It probably hurt because it was dry. When tampons are full of blood, they slide right out with no pain. Tampons are bad to use though. I used them for years and now recently they've been giving me infections. Health Question & Answer

First, what brand of "healthy" tampons are you talking about.?Health Question & Answer
