Possible endometriosis, but no insurance or means for proper diagnosis?!

Question: Possible endometriosis, but no insurance or means for proper diagnosis.?
I'm 34 years old, and have suffered with worsening pain accompanying my periods for most of my adult life. I recently re-started Depo-Provera a month (through Planned Parenthood) and a half ago in an attempt to control the pain from my periods and ovarian cysts.

My last experiences with Depo were very good, but this time, I'm having problems. I've had my period for 7 days now (normally it's only 2) and the pain is at about an 8 out of 10, both abdominally, especially bottom right abdominally, and lower back. Last time I took this medication, I had no period at all.

Both my mother and older sister had hysterectomies in their mid- to late-thirties due to endometriosis, and I have my concerns that I might have it as well. Unfortunately, I am on social security, don't qualify yet for Medicare/caid (they told me I have to wait 2 years), and I have no medical insurance. I've already checked for clinics in my area, there are none. I was stuck going to Planned Parenthood 2 hrs away, and at this point, I can't even afford to do that.

Does anyone have any pain management suggestions, or any ideas I might not have thought of.? My periods make me very sick (exhaustion, I can't sleep, nausea, lack of appetite, I feel like I'm getting the flu, sometimes fever, and PAIN) and I'm not sure what else I should do.

As always respect the poster, thank you in advance for your replies. Health Question & Answer

Hi. I had endometriosis so bad i had to get a hysterectomy. I was doubled over in pain constantly. A few things that use to help me were, laying down and putting a heating pad on my lower abdomen, or taking a long hot bath. Those are about the only things that would help the pain ( the heating pad worked the best ). My heart goes out to you having to deal with, i know how painful it can get. Hope you feel better soon, hugs :-)Health Question & Answer

This might sound like a ridiculous comment but..
have you tried smoking weed.? A lot of people I know who suffer from problems such as what you are describing use marijuana as their primary form of pain management. You never know until you try.
Best of luck in dealing with that horrible pain. Health Question & Answer

stay hydrated, eat healthy, see a doctor for perscription for toradol. It's inexpensive (although that's in Canadian terms) ask your dr. anyway. It helps with my pain as I'm going through problems right now myself. Make sure you get enough sleep before your period starts, like all month. I've also used tylenol arthritis(take 2) or the generic version.Eat lots of veggies, low fat cuts of meat, fruit water...all the good stuff. Take evening of primrose, daily vitamins, tooHealth Question & Answer
