hi, so ive had a history of bleeding for the past 2 and a half years - the doctors dont know why. I was on the pil , but got off and thought i was going to only have it once a month , but now ive had it for 2 weeks straight. What could be the cause of this (ive been off the pill since may) .? I had the same problem. I would bleed for two weeks each month and it was just my period. I think that your body is maybe unable to regulate it on its own. The only way i got mine back to normal is being on birth control where your body is forced to regulate it with hormones from the pill. Id say go back to the pill is your best bet and talk to a doctor while your at it. Health Question & Answer
