5'6 is by far NOT a giant. However, it falls in the 75% for height at the age of 18. That means a girl that is 5'6 is taller than 75% of people her that are age 18.

im 5' 6' and i hate it..i wouldnt consider myself GIANT...but the only reason why i complain is because it is harder to find a guy taller then me, and if i have a b.f. shorter then me id feel masculine as hell!...my bf is 5'9' and i still feel like i overtake him..i wish i could sit in his lap and still be shorter then him..like 5'0" thatd be cool...but i guess it all depends on how she carries herself!Health Question & Answer
Nope! She's pretty much average. I believe 5'5" is the average height for an American female. Believe me, I keep up on the height info, I'm a white female who is 5'10" (so she can stop her whining) and I'm in the 98th percentile for female height in the US.Health Question & Answer
