ive been on the pill for about 3 months. i havent had any spot bleeding whatsoever until now. now ive been bleeding for about 3 days, heavier than the days i am supposed to have my period. is this normal.? what could be causing this.?Health Question & Answer

On one of my pills I started getting breakthrough bleeding after 3 months. I just had to change pills to a different formulation. I went through 5 or 6 different pills for at least three months each before I found one that didn't eventually give me breakthrough bleeding.
An hour or 6 is nothing to worry about. You only have to worry if you are more than 12 hours late taking it.Health Question & Answer

It comes from not taking your pill at the same time every day if your late taking your pill it can cause bleeding. Just keep taking your pill at the same time every day and the bleeding should stop.
