This isn't a normal period, is there something wrong?!
Question: This isn't a normal period, is there something wrong.?
I usually have really long periods, like more than a week long. This one however is showing no signs of slowing down!! It's already been 6 days and I'm starting to worry because my cramps are getting a lot worse than they were when it started.
I was just wondering if any of you ladies have ever experienced this before. I'm 19, in pretty good health, I haven't had any change in my diet (except maybe a few candies from my nieces halloween bag), and I have had no change in my daily activity.
Thank you in advance for any advice or answers.
P.S. I know I should go to the doctor but I just realized right now how long it's been and my cramps have just gotten worse within the last half hour and it's 10:42 PM so the clinic is closed.Health Question & Answer

I'm a male, but I just asked my best (female) friend about this, and this is the what she had to say:
'My period normally lasts for 4 days, but one month it lasted for 10. I went to the doctor, who told me that there was nothing wrong. She told me that I was basically going to bleed until I just didn't-- that I wasn't going to bleed to death. But she also told me that if it lasted for 15 days, I needed to come back.
I definitely understand that it seems like it's not going to stop, but mine did eventually slow down & stop. If you're really worried about it, you should go see your doctor. It will really put your mind at ease.
Have you recently started taking or switched to a new form of birth control.? This can cause a spike or extreme decrease in your hormone levels. That could definitely be affecting the situation, too.'Health Question & Answer

no need to worry abt that, this is natural thing and you say that this is same 6-7 day in every month, so relax, take necessary precautions.
