If you have a medical reason for needing a breast reduction, many insurance companies will cover the procedure. I had mine done about 12 years ago, since I was getting rashes and skin infections underneath them. Since it was a medical issue, it was paid for by my insurance. The surgeon you consult can determine the medical need for the operation.
I had 4lbs. of breast tissue removed, plus I had several fibroids in them as well. It was a difficult recovery, and it took 3 months to be able to move my arms around without pain, but it was worth it to me. Good luck with yours, if you should decide to go thru with it.Health Question & Answer

That depends on the reason. If you have back pain and neck pain from large breasts, it could be determined to be medically necessary for health reasons and the insurance would pay for it. If you want it done for cosmetic reasons, you pay for it. The price varies greatly on who does the surgery. Health Question & Answer
it cost me $300 (my deductible). everything else was covered by insurance. my surgery was on oct 20th. it was the best thing i ever did. though i am still recovering and in a little bit of pain, i am extremely happy!!!
