Help about my girlfriends period......?!
Question: Help about my girlfriends period.......?
my girlfriend was a week late on her period. we have protected sex, and this is her first period after losing her virginity. She said it only lasted about 2 or 3 days but she didn't have cramps or anything. Should she worry.?Health Question & Answer

Wait, so she did end up having her period, but it was a week late and was only 2-3 days.?
2-3 days is still a normal range for a period. And having sex for the first time can shock a woman's system, that's why it might have been late.
If you are worried have her take a test. Is she on the pill.? If not, get her to Planned Parenthood. It's really cheap and simple to get. Plus, if your condom breaks, then you don't have to freak out. 2 methods of contraception are better than one.Health Question & Answer

well if the protected sex you are talking about is just using condoms, maybe she could get put on birth control. im on birth control and i love it because i can be carefree with my boyfriend and know exactly when my period is coming and it shortens it also. im mainly on it to regulate my period because i had time with no period, but i was not pregnant. it wouldnt hurt to go to a free clinic (if you cannot afford to see a doctor) and they offer free birth control for people who cannot afford it. birth control is the best way to go. Health Question & Answer
No, she shouldn't worry.
Many women experience unusual periods after having sex for the first time.
As you said, it was protected, so I'm assuming by this you mean you did use a condom.
Unless it came off during sex then you have nothing to fear.
Although, if you're both still concerned, I'd suggest you would take her to the pharmacy to pick up a pregnancy test. They're cheap and simple.Health Question & Answer

the best thing you should do is get a test....protected sex is not 100% safe and even if you have sex for a little but before you put on a condum even pre-*** can cause pregnancy
