Question: Period Question. Serious Answers Only Please!.?
ok, so I got my period 2 weeks ago and it was really heavy like the whole time. It went away but a week later, it came back and sorry if this is gross but I have alot of what I call "clumbs of blood" (thick blackish color). Anyways, it has been a week and still no signs of slowing down. What is going on.?Health Question & Answer

Those are blood clots, they can range in size from a "little slug" to a "golf ball". I think you are bleeding too much. This is not crazy serious, but it is going to get on your nerves pretty quick.
Here is what is happening. The lining of your uterus is getting too thick. The blood flow cannot support that much lining, so it is being shed between periods.
You should see a doctor. They often prescribe Provera to thin the lining and thus lighten the periods. They might put you on the pill.Health Question & Answer

This is normal, this happened to me too, don't worry.
When i got mine for the very first time, my period lasted me two weeks, and i got really scared cause my mom always told me hers lasted five days so that freaked me out that i had mine for two weeks,
but i found out later that its normal,
its also normal to be irregular when you first get it, because its new to your body
but you should settle down soon.
and congrats on becoming a woman!

hi there. i suggest you go to your gynecologist asap. it MIGHT BE hormonal imbalance, who knows. only the doctor can tell you that. i've experienced heavy bleeding but i only have period once or twice a year. i was diagnosed having a polycystic ovaries syndrome (PCOS) and one of the symptoms is heavy bleeding.. but there are a lot more symptoms. people here can only speculate what's happening to you so you better go to your doctor...Health Question & Answer
it's sometime normal and especially if in the past few months your period was lite. It just mean you body is trying to clean out all the old blood out. If it doesn't stop in a couple of days call your doctor, losing to much blood isn't good for you either. Health Question & Answer
