Supposedly a little Tylenol will increase the effectiveness of any other painkiller.

I would try 2 Aleve and 1 Tylenol. Take it with some food and water.

Be careful not to overdose. You can only take 3 Aleve per day total. Consult the Tylenol bottle for the max dosage of it. Too much Tylenol can kill you so be careful.

Maybe a heating pad or icepack might help too. Menthol creams might help also, but lots of those contain aspirin, so you can overdose on them.Health Question & Answer

Sorry to hear about your problem with your IUD. I'd recomend the same sort of treatments as you would have for cramps, the best being Clary sage.

Clary sage is an essential oil which naturally supports estrogen production and acts on the pituitary gland to help regulate menstrual problems - although commonly used for cramps it would have a similar benifit for the pain you're feeling now from having your coil removed as PID and contractions caused by removal may be adding to the pain. Used neat or diluted in vegetable oil you massage it into your abdomen, keep using it until the pain stops - this is actually better than painkillers as your body doesn't build up a tolerance which could make things worse, most women I knwo who use it also say that it works much faster than painkillers.

You can pick it up from health stores or specialist stores that sell essential oils, they should also be able to offer you more advice too. Good luck!Health Question & Answer

Hiya,

'Feminax' is an over the counter drug that combats serious period pain.
If it can do that it should help you with your problem.
