I have a lump in my breast?!

Question: I have a lump in my breast.?
I noticed a smalled lump has accumulated in my right breast. I read online that it could possibly be a cyst, etc. so I waited a couple weeks before going to a doctor. She said chances are it was a cyst and we would wait before doing any testing. She said if it was a cyst it would probably take at max. a couple months to go away. It's been a year now and it's still there. It feels slightly harder/bigger. I forgot about it because I was moving and I've changed doctors. I don't think it could be breast cancer, but what are you of your opinions.? Could it still be a cyst that just hasn't gone away.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
When you squeeze it or force it to side, if it looks like move a bit, then there is a high possibility that it is a cyst. This is because usually cysts are soft compare to cancer cells.

But no one can tell what it is for sure without a proper test. Even you doctor needs to be sure that it is a cyst and that's why she requested a test.

Hope it is a cyst.Health Question & Answer

My mom had breast cancer back in 1993 and I felt her lump and it was as hard as a rock. Very solid, and doesn't move around like a cyst. She's doing fine now, a cancer survivor. I had a cyst 4 years ago in my breast. It moved around when I touched it. I had a mammogram and ultrasound. I had the cyst removed. Removal is optional, unless the cyst is bothering you. I had no problems getting it removed. It's worse going to the dentist. Most likely, it's a cyst, but even if it's a tumor, breast cancer is highly curable disease. Good luck!Health Question & Answer

I do breast sonography. It could be a cyst, but if it's growing quickly, you should get it tested out. Basically, your doctor is there for you. If you tell your doc "I really want to just get it looked at" they won't tell you no. You're the one that's going to pay for the exam anyway (or most likely your insurance.) Request a mammogram and/or ultrasound. Even if it's nothing, peace of mind is way worth it. Good luck. I hope everything turns out well for you.Health Question & Answer

I have fibrocystic in my breast where small cysts come and go, but they GO. You may want to check in to this and DEMAND a mamogram then a breast ultrasound, this should clarify if you have or don't have breast cancer. But if you wait to long you may regret the result if it's not in your favor. Always go with your gut instinct, and always get a second opinion, some doctors are QUACKS.Health Question & Answer

My sister had a lump in her breast when she was 13 years old. Since she was a boxer she thought that maybe she got punch in the breast and it was just swollen... time went by and she decided to go to the doctor...they told her it was normal. She is now 22 years old and that lump ended up getting bigger....she has a tumor in her breast.... thank god its not cancerous but it has to be taken out before or if it does became cancer. ..... If i was you i would really go to the doctor...it might be something serious. Health Question & Answer

Is it painful or sore at all.? It could be a cyst but it could be a benign breast lump too. I would go to your doctor and get a mammogram or something and see what they say your next move is. Health Question & Answer

Make an appt. with your new doctor, or preferably a GYN. also, call your local hospital and make an appt. for a mammogram. You should not need a referral for it. Health Question & Answer
