This is the worst period ever!?!
Question: This is the worst period ever!.?
I was 3 weeks late for my period, Blood pregnancy test was negative so I know I'm not having a miscarriage. Anyways with this period( I started yesterday) Im bleeding so heavy, mostly large clots ( sorry if TMI) Im having to change my tampon every 30 minutes. The pain is also unbelievable.
I had an ultrasound 2 days ago and all it showed was a very large ovarian cyst.
Ive never had bleeding this bad and I usually never hurt with my periods. I have an appointment with my obgyn next Tuesday. Any Ideas on what I could do for the pain until either my period stops or I can see the Dr. Ive been taking tylenol and It doesn't help. Thanks :]Health Question & Answer

Its brutal, isn't it!
Tylonel does absolutely nothing for me. I have to take either 2 Regular advils (or one motrin migrane and pain) with a coke (caffine simmers cramps) or I take one extra strength advil. If the extra strength doesn't help within a half hour, take another.
Be sure to get liquid gels though! They work so much better.
also, good MILK chocolate will help. Not the cheap stuff, but stuff like Dairy Milk (reasonably priced). Plus, its an excuse to eat chocolate so why not :)
When I'm laying down I'll curl up into a ball with the heating pad on my stomach, or I'll lay on my back with a few catalogues on my stomach. Surprisingly the weight truly helps.
Hot showers aimed on your lower back slightly slow down your flow, and ease cramps. Plus it feels good.

Sorry to hear, but when a girl has cysts, the period flow usually changes and it hurts a lot. You can try advil or tylenols pm for some rest at night. Maybe going to the gyno and talking about your pain can get you some pain killers.Health Question & Answer
