Swollen or retaining water?!
Question: Swollen or retaining water.?
I noticed my ankles looked kind of thick a few days ago. I was looking at them and feeling them to see if they were sore because they may have been swollen, but they don't hurt at all. But when I was pressing on them I noticed that under my skin it was like molding clay or something. I could press down on it and it would stay for a minute. I was googling it earlier and I heard about water retention and I'm wondering if that's what it is.

This sounds like water retention--known in the medical field as edema. Water retention in the foot or ankle region is known as pedal edema.
This is only usually a sign of something serious if you have a heart condition. Otherwise, water retention is quite normal in females, especially during PMS. You might want to watch the sodium in your diet--too much salt in the body causes it to hold in water.
