I have a quite big bump behind my ear...its red and sore...could it be a large spot coming through or something more serious.? please help i'm worried:OHealth Question & Answer

It could be a number of things. Does it look like it could be a pimple or boil.? Does it look like something that is IN the skin rather than under it.?
Earlier this year, I had a large knot form under my earlobe on the side of my neck. I could tell that it didn't have anything to do with skin though, it was definitely underneath.
Turns out, I had a swollen salivary gland. Who knew!
If the skin itself is red, then it's probably a skin infection or ailment of some type. Could be anything from a boil to an ingrown hair. See if it comes to a head or goes away soon. Otherwise, get to a doctor if it gets worse.Health Question & Answer

It could be a lot of things. It could be a boil, cyst, or risen. But also it could be an infected lymph node. Go see a physician to make sure it is not a lymph node which would require further investigation. Health Question & Answer
It sounds like a big pimple or cyst. Keep it clean with warm wet cloths, peroxide and put neosporin on it. It will most likely come to a head and open getting the infection out and stopping the pain.Health Question & Answer
