I went to the gyno to find that I have a small ulcer inside of my vagina near the urethra. She said it takes about 1-2 weeks and it should go away, but until then, it is really painful when my urine hits the ulcer. What can I do to make it less painful to urinate.? Health Question & Answer

If it is really painful (you just cannot stand it), you could put a couple of inches of warm water in the tub, sit down, and pee in the water. The water will keep the urine from affecting the ulcer as much.
If you do not want to pee in the tub (urine is sterile, btw), you could fill a plastic bottle (not a spray bottle; a bottle with a pull-top nozzle works better) with warm water and squirt the water onto your vaginal area as you urinate. I had hemorrhoids, & the doctor suggested a sitz bath. This also works for vaginal problems. Here is a link to a site about why & how to take a sitz bath!
