it has been 1 month since i m suffering from UTI infection. i did take Doctor picb medican & also home remedies treatments.what happens is the symptoms of UTI gets from good to bad &it goes on like this but no permanent Relief from UTI.abt in take of cranberry juice i can have it cos i stay in saudi arabia & we don't get this juice here. WHAT should i do i don't want Th's UTI any more. plz if any 1 of u knows a excellent medic an than plz tell me i 'll buy it from pharmacy.plz help me out i am badly suffering.Health Question & Answer

You need antibiotic therapy to treat a UTI. You need to see your GP again. Push fluid intake in the meantime. Recent studies have shown that drinking cranberry juice won't cure a UTI, multiple studies have shown that once bacteria have established themselves in your bladder, only antibiotics can get rid of IT.

I've had UTI for over a month before, and i got rid of it without any medication. I drank ALOT of water. No matter how much it hurts to go to the bathroom, you have to try to drink as much as you can. I'd say that helps alot. also, don't drink drinks that have a lot of sugar in them, they make it hurt even more. I hope it goes away soon ):Health Question & Answer
oh hun, I know ur pain but if the docs medication isn't working you need to go back, it could have spread to your kidneys which can be dangerous, have them check you again, there are no over the counter UTI medications only yeast infection ones, they are completely different. make sure you are treating the right thing. go back to doctor but in the mean time go to walmart, walgreens, cvs and get AZO's.. I've had sevre UTIs n one of my kidneys failed so don't play around with this get some meds from your doc.. It can also give u a blood infection if it goes so far. Health Question & Answer

Other than going to the doc here are some things you can do at home. Stop drinking anything but water. You need to drink lots and lots of water to help flush the infection out. Take AZO it's over the counter med. that will help you feel better. Oh Yeah you can also drink 100%cranberry juice if you like it. Or take cranberry pills which you can get a Walmart or probably any drug store. Take showers instead of baths until you are better. I hope this helps you!
