Could you please help me out? Im kind of worried.?!

Ok, so a week ago I had my appendix taken out, I also started my period that same day last friday, well my period only ever last 5 days and THATS IT, but for some reason im still bleeding, its been 8 days. Im not bleeding like heavy to where I need a pad or tampon and it doesnt come out if im just sitting or laying down or anything but if I go to the bathroom and wipe theres like a darker blood on the toilet paper, and like I just had sex with my husband and he didnt notice anything different but when I went to the bathroom afterwards there was actual redish brownish blood on the toilet paper. I dont know if this is just aftermath of my period, or if like something went wrong with my surgery, like maybe something got cut and now if urine or (my husband) passes by it, it causes it to bleed.? Im so confused and I dont know what to do. Has this ever happened to you.?
This is the first time this has happened to me, ive had my period since I was 12. On friday I started taking YAZ birth control, so might that have something to do with it.?Health Question & Answer
