I'm 14 and I haven't had my period for almost a year and I was starting to get worried. About a week ago, I masturbated and usually I don't insert anything but I thought I would try it so i used a something that was a shape of a penis and I inserted it and it hurt so i took out. It bled a little later so I thought it was just a simple cut but then it turned out it was my period. It lasted for about 4 to 5 days and it's still going on. But it's almost over. Anybody know why.? It's ok girl. Even the pattern of blood is like a period - it is definetly a period. Its just common sense. also look at your blood - menstrual blood can be darker, glumpy thicker and have lumps. Whereas normal blood is bright bright red and thin and runny.
I think if your insertion had caused you to bleed then it would be a serious injury that would still hurt so don't worry.

And don't worry about your missing period - I am like that too.
Very irregular - it used to worry me and I went about a year when I was 14 without having it. No problem - some girls are just like this. It will be annoying when we are sexually active though (pregnancy scares).
And what are you guys talking about 'breaking your virginity'.?..there's no such thing.
Your insertion would be like putting a tampon in and everyone does that no problem.
Maybe your masturbation sort of triggered your period. Like when you masturbate, you get lubrication clear discharge stuff come out right. Well if there was period blood up there then it would come out.
Of course if your bleeding goes over like 10 days then go to the doctor but I will bet $1000 it is your period. And you said it started to bleed later.? if you had hurt yourself - you would have bled straight away. No worries. Good for asking though
