Do women have chest hair?!

Question: Do women have chest hair.?
A friend of mine at work asked what I thought of a female coworkers chest hair. I was rather blown away. I never noticed it, but he said she claims to be very proud of it.

Why would a woman be proud of chest hair.? Am I missing something.?

I have yet to meet a woman with chest hair, however I guess since the bearded lady is so fond of her chin hair, I am sure that a woman with chest hair could be the same. Health Question & Answer

Women are mammals (that's why they have mammary glands on their chests) and they, therefore, have at least a small amount of hair follicles all over their body. So, unless they have a genetic disorder that prevents those hair follicles from growing hair or they wax every hour, they will have at least a small amount of hair on their chests. Some have more, some have less. It's genetic.

Have you ever heard the phrase "different strokes for different folks".? Well, given that different people are all different, it's completely within the realm of possibility that a woman would be proud of her chest hair, though the vast majority of women would wonder why.

The short answer to your question is that you're probably not missing something, you've just managed to meet a woman who is unique; just like everyone else.Health Question & Answer

generally if women have chest hair it is very fine and barely noticeable. However sometimes hormonal imbalances and conditions like polysistic ovary syndrome can cause the hair to be darker and thicker. maybe there is nothing she can do about it so she is trying to make the best of it rather than being ashamed.Health Question & Answer

We all have hair everywhere. Most women's chest hair is tiny (barely visible and sensible). It's not like guys chest hair, but some women's chest hair is a little longer anda bit sensible.

Or maybe she had some hormonal problem that makes her hair grow around that area and she's still happy with herself.Health Question & Answer

Uh, body hair anywhere on anyone is possible. She must have some testosterone flowing to actually develop chest hair beyond just the light follicles. I don't know, she just must be comfortable with herself to be proud of it. At least she's confident. Health Question & Answer
