Question: I'm getting bad chest pains, could it be from my Birth control pills.?
I was put on BC pills in August for Endometriosis. I am 28 and have no kids but I want kids soon, so my doc put me on the pill to control the endo. Well I smoke and can't seem to quit smoking and I have been having sharp chest pains for the past week. Migraines too. I don't have health insurance I have asthma and a heart murmur so I am wondering if the pain is coming from my asthma, smoking, or the pill.? It hurts bad too! I got really dizzy last night and had to lay down for an hour it was so bad. Has anyone else had this problem from the pill.?Health Question & Answer

heart burn really is felt in between the chest and throat. So if that's where the pain is at that's prolly what it is. I smoke too and never had any problems like that while on the pill (i only gained weight, blah) You really need to talk to the dr. that prescribed the pills to you and tell him exactly what you told us. I agree with the first answer. You definitely have to go to either the doctor or the emergency room. Some bc pills have warnings for asthmatic patients and smokers. Since you are experiencing chest pains that bad you are in need of an immediate medical evaluation. I hope it all turns out okay...but please get yourself seen today!Health Question & Answer
