How long is average healing time.? What are common ailments or discomforts, if any, that might be common to experience after operation.?
Doctor said to stay off feet for two weeks. Seems like a long time. Is two weeks normal time to have to stay off feet, not drive, no walks around neighborhood, not go up / down stairs to prepare meals, do laundry.?
What was your experience with this for healing and when did you start getting up and about more.?

One thing is for sure...when they say do nothing for 2 weeks by all means DO NOTHING or you will take longer to heal. When I had mine, I also had a tumor so my case is different than regular and I had to stay down for 8 weeks. I thought some days I felt decent and tried to do little things but paid for it. Just rest and take care of yourself. It will pay off in the long run. Eat well and get plenty of sleep and you will do fine. Get well soon.Health Question & Answer
your Doctor is right, you need to stay off feet for at least 2 weeks. You will have discomfort in the incision where it feeels like it is pulling.Trying to find the best postion to sleep without tearing stiches or staples.But in the long run, once you heal, you will feel so much better.I was down for almost 4 weeks because I didnt always listen to my drHealth Question & Answer
