put alo vera on your skin after shaving, the same thing used to happen to me and my mom gave my alo for it lol kinda creepy I know . . . but also when you shave, don't use soap because otwill dry up your skin and irritated down there, try baby shampo or conditionerHealth Question & Answer

I have tried everything possible to stop the sensitivity in the pubic area after shaving. No matter what, a new razor, conditioners, moisturizers with aloe, nothing really stops it! Its just a sensitive area. I have had some success with using an electric hair trimmer, then putting a moisturizer on it. It works, but doesn't remove the hair completely. good luck to you.Health Question & Answer

If you wanna look like a preteen girl with razor burn, stubble and ingrown hairs... go right ahead.

*Women* have hair there, that's part of what makes them women instead of girls. Trim it up neat if you like that look or feel (or if you just don't want hairs straying out of your bathing suit), but there's almost nothing as nice as a mouthful of soft hair that tastes like the woman who loves me.

This whole "all girls shave" thing is a product of the porn industry, because it makes for more revealing close-ups, and those close-ups sell more magazines and videos... and it's all about money - for "women's beauty" manufacturers and their advertizers now as much as for porn profiteers.

People have been watching those, and they're coming to believe that a bald vulva is "normal".

It isn't... except on a little girl.

OK, I've had my little rant, but you may want to shave anyhow for whatever personal reasons you have - and those are none of my business - so I don't think it's fair for me to tell you "Just Say No" and expect you to go against your own wishes: it doesn't work with drugs and it can't work any better for anything else people want to do.

If you're going to shave, you should do it properly so you'll get the best possible look and feel out of it and minimize the razor, skin and hair problems that can happen.

http://www.velvetdragon.com/etc/shave.ht... is a really good and very thorough how-to guide to shaving any and all body hair, and I highly recommend it.

Best of luck with your choice, whatever it is, and I hope I've helped. :-)

yes conditioner works well. use a sharp razor. dull ones will cut you and give you burn cause you'll have to keep going over the same area with the razor. try not to shave against the hair growth direction too much. that's also a factor. i have sensitive skin too and i have to shave in all kinds of directions down there. you just have to tweek your method before you get it down.Health Question & Answer

It's by Pure Romance and it's called "Coochy" ... funny name I know, but it's a rash-free shave cream. I use it and have minimal or no razor burn or bumps at all. also do make sure you are shaving down with your hairs, shaving up will just cause the sensitive area to flare up. Health Question & Answer

bikini zone makes a shave gel for your bikini area... it works pretty well. and it's PINK! :) i have the same problem and you just kind of have to deal with it if you want to shave it. i get really bad ingrown hairs and have tried pretty much everything there is and nothing really helps.
good luck!Health Question & Answer

never shave against the hair growth, so shave down and inwards, never up or out!!! and don't shave it until it's totally smooth, that's when you get the razor burn.

I have yet to discover anything that helps or prevents razor burn. Your best bet is probably waxing. Health Question & Answer
