Question: Frequent menstruation..?
I've had my period 3 times in the last 2 months. Seen as how this has just started, I'm not sure if it will continue, but I am concerned. I'm already on birth control and can't figure out why this is happening.
I've been on birth control for 5 months now and it's been fine up until the end of October.

What type of pill are you taking.? Frequent menstruation when taking the so called 'mini pill' is very very common. Less common if you are on the combined pill but still possible.
Alesse is a combined pill but breakthrough bleeding in between periods is quite a common side effect it has. It usually more common you get this in the first 3 months of usage but it still possible it occurs later on. See a doctor anyway, especially if the bleeding is heavy. Breakthrough bleeding in between periods when on the combined pill is usually mild.Health Question & Answer
