Question: Why is my menstrual period is not stopping.?
I'm 21 years old. I usually have my period for 5-6 days. I have my period now and it has been 2 weeks already since it started. The flow is really heavy and I feel so weak and dizzy. The last time I had a period like this was when I just started having my period when I was 12. The gynecologist prescribed me mild contraceptive pills to make it regular. It became regular after taking the pills for 3 months.
Has any of you experienced something like this before.? what could be wrong.? What vitamins or supplements could I take to avoid the weakness.?Health Question & Answer

This sounds so scary and I had a period for two weeks on birth control pills and that can happen and the bleeding wasn't too heavy at all. Of course you would feel dizzy from heavy bleeding and that isn't normal. My mother told me that the gynecologist can do a D&C precedure in the hospital if that happens.
A D&C is Dilation and Curettage and they take a scraping and collect tissue from the uterus. Has your gynecologist has ever have mention to you about this.? I never had to have one.
