Question: My cousin has the fear of changing pads on her menstrual period .?
She is 13 years old and what advice should i give her, I need to help her because she's 13 and she still gets pads changed by her mom.? I know this is a weird question but plz help!

Thats totally abnormal for a regular 13 yr old...If she was mentally challenged then I would understand needing mum's help but really.?!..My sister-in-law used to get her mum to help but she has Downs Syndrome , now she takes care of her own "business" .

Many people do not like seeing blood, but since this is going to be a monthly occurrence for her, she needs to do it herself. Her mother is not doing her any favors by changing them for her. If she's old enough to have a period, she's old enough to change her pads. Health Question & Answer
Tell her that she can try taking it off while she is sitting on the toilet and to do it quick so that she doesn't see it. I don't know that's a really hard question to answer. maybe tell her to get pads without wings so she won't have to look at it as long. then she can just rip it off and put a new one on. or maybe she should try tampons.
