Periods can be very heavy but you'll never lose too much blood. It's what your body has stored up to get rid of and it's more like uterine lining than blood.
If you've only gotten it twice before, it will take some time to become regular. I was probably 26 before mine came with any regularity. And when I first started when I was 13, the same thing that happened to you happened to me. I got two periods in one month. It never happened again but it's really freaky when it does happen. You're still normal but if anything painful or out of the ordinary happens, you should see a doctor.Health Question & Answer
