Should I 'practice' inserting a tampon inside of me even though I HAVEN'T gotten my period yet?!

Question: Should I 'practice' inserting a tampon inside of me even though I HAVEN'T gotten my period yet.?
So since I haven't gotten my period yet I'm wondering if I should practice inserting a tampon.? Or is that really unsafe.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
No don't practise.
whats the point in doing that...?
and anyway it might hurt you when you insert it because you will be dry.
but i dont see how it can be unsafe,
just practise when you actually have your period.
i used to wear pads when i was like 10.. and i didn't even have my period, and now i think back and realise how stupid i was lol.

enjoy not having your period while you can! :)

but here is a guide to using your first tampon :

i still havn't tried tampons yet.. i got my period when i was 12 and now im 16 haha im still scared of them !
seems to really hurt me when i try to insert one, maybe im doing it wrong :(Health Question & Answer

No and you shouldn't use one with your first menstrual cycle or thereafter for a year or two, pads are fine for now. Wait till you are a bit older. You would need to use the lubricant kind and the small ones and have to get it up inside around the curve and it can be painful if you don't get it in there and you have to leave the string out to pull it out after 4-6 hours and replace it... for the duration of the cycle, They are good for some young women or if going swimming, but, not really all the time. Health Question & Answer

i wouldn't say unsafe but i wouldn't suggest it. a dry vagina is going to be more painful to put a tampon in than it would if you were having your period. talk to your mom or a trusted adult female. she'll get you some pantyliners to practice putting on. i personally waited a year before i used tampons.Health Question & Answer

You should NEVER insert a tampon unless it is that time of the month! Most people only start with pads, and then progress to tampons since they may take some getting used to. Like the girl above me said, enjoy not having a period and worry about it when the time comes...Health Question & Answer

It's not safe to do that! The tampon could stick to the inside of you and you could be at a higher risk for Toxic Shock Syndrome. When you do get your period you should always use the lowest absorbency tampon you can (ie. light for light days, heavy for heavy days)Health Question & Answer

nahhh, enjoy not having it while you can!
i know, i hated waiting but now i wish i didnt have it haha

you will be fine they dont hurt

and actually it kind of hurts a little more when you pull it out and its "dry" (like no blood)

i dont know, maybe its just meHealth Question & Answer

NOOOO dont do that!!
you should never put a tampon in unless you are on your period..it could cause complications.
trust me...its hard enough when you ARE on it.
and plus...you should use pads the first couple of months after you get your 1st period
i started when i was 12. im 17 and just tried a tampon the other day so dont feel rushed Health Question & Answer

no, you shouldn't. Wait until you get your period and practice on the first day.
it usually hurts pulling it out, and dosn'tslide in well without lubrication.Health Question & Answer

No need to practice, when you need to you'll figure it out. It would also probably be really uncomfortable to take out a dry tampon.Health Question & Answer

No you shouldn't it could be unsafe and also if your not on your period and you put a tampon in your vagina, its gonna hurt really bad i know from personal experience Health Question & Answer

No why would you, enjoy not having your period while you can.Health Question & Answer

you can if you want but don't leave it in and remember it might hurt when you take it out because it will be dry.Health Question & Answer

I would say only ever use pads tampons aren't safe. And ask someone like your mom or a friend that knows how to do it to tell you before you try.Health Question & Answer

You can practice, it is not fun, but it is safe.Health Question & Answer
