She may just be sick and happens to have her period at the same time. Chances are she's not pregnant, which I am assuming is what you are afraid of. UTI's are mean, I had one once. The pills they put you on can really mess up your body so she may be having an allergic reaction to the medication if she just started them. Then again she may just have the flu. Take care of her, give her plenty of chicken soup, water, and rest. That's the best thing for her right now. Good luck!Health Question & Answer
she either has dysmenorrhea or a very serious urinary/kidney infection or both. BCP helps with period if she is like this every month, Antibiotics needed for uti/renal infection. That is serious and needs a doc eval and urine cultures. Pyridium helps with bladder/uretheral burning only, it will not cure uti, called azostat or uristat, over the counter, turns urine orange and stains permanently on clothing.. try Ibuprofen if she can keep it down, but only after seeing a doc, as ibuprofen can affect kidneys.Health Question & Answer
Sometimes periods can cause headaches and stomach aches but the vomiting isn't a common side affect. I had a urinary tract infection and it made me feel like I was going to throw up all the time. Your best best is to go to the Doctor. They can give you medicine for the tract infection. Be careful when taking this medicine bc it turns the urine a dark redish color....

has she recently began using a new birth control.? UTI's are not as uncommon as you may believe. some women get them all the time, and some never have them. see a doctor when its possible and get it checked out. most likely everything is fine. get some antibiotics for her UTI and see a GYN for the period symptoms.
