Why are my nipples so itchy?!

Question: Why are my nipples so itchy.?
This is kind of embarrassing, but lately, my nipples have beeen on and off, sometimes normal, but sometimes they are very hard and itchy. If I scratch them, it hurts (because my chest is still growing), but if I don't, it really irritates me. Is this normal, or do I have problems.?Health Question & Answer

It's probably the change in seasons. It happens to the best of us. lol.
Mosturizer is your best friend. Use it whenever you get the chance. Whenever you go to the bathroom, lock the door and put a little on. In this case, less is not more. Apply it whenever you can.
Good luck!Health Question & Answer

This is not normal!

Causes of nipple itch:

Clothing irritation
Bra irritation
Soap allergy
Perfume allergy
Fungal infection
Hormone replacement therapy
Padget's disease
Allergy to laundry detergent
Breast cancer
Eczema

You might want to try an antifungal cream,
Vitamin A&D is good too.
The OTC cortisone cream should help reduce the itchies.
Use hydro cortisone cream as well as lito caine will stop the itching and will make you're nipples less sensitive

I would suggest that when you shower or bathe to use a different soap the milder the better, try using a different laundry detergent, and stop scratching you're nipples because you can cause infection that way.

GOOD LUCK! :)Health Question & Answer

it's possible it's just cause your chest is still growing but if you rub lotion on your body or use a new soap or it could be a developing allergy to the laundry soap, fabric softener or even cotton. Make a list and cross them off as you stop using them. Stop using the lotion if you use it. If it doesn't work then move to the next. Use hypoallergenic soaps, wear a non-cotton bra. If your skin is real dry maybe try a moisturizing soap and then put a Little lotion on. If nothing works and it is troublesome ask your doctor.Health Question & Answer

Moisturizing with vitamin E creams often helps. Do you wash your bras in the washing machine with washing powder.? Sometimes that can cause itchiness. Try hand washing them with a pure soap and making sure they are rinsed really well. If you start to develop a rash or the skin becomes lumpy or scaly in appearance, then you will need to go to the doctors. Good luck!Health Question & Answer

best thing to do is to ask a doctor. but because you still in the middle of puberty it is natural for your boobs to feel weird. as well if your not wearing a proper fitting bra or you are not wearing one, the movement of your shirt up and down could irritate them. Health Question & Answer

There are quite a few things that could be wrong with you. It can range from breast cancer to being pregnant. If it continues and intensifies then consult your doctor. If he finds nothing wrong then you'll most likely be sent to a dermatologist.Health Question & Answer
