If you miss the inactive pills when taking birth control pills, are there adverse effects?!

Question: If you miss the inactive pills when taking birth control pills, are there adverse effects.?
When I miss any of the active pills, I get break outs and stuff, but what about if you miss an inactive pill or take it late or whatever, does it have any bad effects.?
It shouldn't since it's only a placebo right.?
please clarify, THANK YOU!Health Question & Answer

Yeah they are a placebo. Just so you don't forget to take them at the right time every day they are there. I know there is birth control pills that you can get with only a 21 day pack of active pills and no placebo pills at all. You would just have to remember what day to start again on your own and at the right time! Don't want an 'accident' with those!Health Question & Answer

No, you don't have to take them at all. They are there as "reminders" so you don't forget to restart the pill after the week of no pills.Health Question & Answer

There is no problem missing those pills. They are just to help remind you to take a pill everyday. There is no active ingredient in them.Health Question & Answer

the inactive pills are just that "inactive" they are basicly reminder pills made to just be there, i never take them. Health Question & Answer

Correct, it's only a placebo. Most women I know skip them altogether. Health Question & Answer

You are right. It is only a placebo and no ill effects if you dont take it. I never took them personally.Health Question & Answer
