Does anyone like using pads more than tampons?!

If I am going out I use tampons and if I am staying home I use pads. You have to change pads more often and they can be visible under some clothes which is why I use tampons when out. But I think it is more natural to use pads. Health Question & Answer

This is really personal preference. Personally I have always used either tampons with a plastic applicator or a menstrual cup. Pads to me are bulky and I would be changing them extremely fast. I have extremely sensitive skin, so they are also very irritating to me. I know plastic applicators aren't environment friendly, but I have never found a cardboard one that worked properly or was easy to use. I have used non-applicator ones which are ok, but I don't have as much luck inserting them far enough. Menstrual cups are great because you can find them in the same aisle as tampons, and you can safely wear them for a number of hours. The brand name is Insteads. There are also non-disposable menstrual cups that you can get via mail order, that aren't disposable like Insteads, which can last for years.Health Question & Answer

Because of Toxic Shock Syndrome (caused by tampons), I think it is best to at least think about pads for overnight usage. also, if you're going to be home all day, why not use pads ... I know some people alternate the two.Health Question & Answer
