Am I just being paranoid?!

Question: Am I just being paranoid.?
I've been on birth control pills for about 5 or 6 years now, however, I had a sinus infection and went off of them for about a month so I could take antibiotics. I can't remember now when I should have my period, I didn't keep track of it, and I've been on my antibiotics for more than 20 days. I'm worried that I should be getting my period, but I've only been spotting. I had sex about 2 times during the month with my boyfriend, but I always make sure to use a condom and be careful. Could the antibiotics and stress cause me to have a late period.? I've been stressing about this alot, I'm worried that I may be pregnant, even though I've yet to have any symptoms.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
your stressing and sickness have probably been taking a toll on your body and causing it to go all out of wack
especially since you went off birth control for a month, and are trying to get back on. your body won't just bounce back immediately, it'll take time to readjust

i wouldn't be worried since you've been using protection. try to calm down about it and wait to see if your body gets regular again
and there's no harm in taking a test if it will make you feel more reassured.Health Question & Answer

Going off and back on the pill can change your cycle - so can stress. A lot of women can't get pregnant for a few months after they come off the pill. Since you used a condom, I wouldn't worry! (easier said than done, I know)

Maybe if you're a month late, you might want to pick up a pregnancy test so you don't have to worry anymore.Health Question & Answer

Stress and being sick are known to cause delayed periods by a week or two.

It happened to me just this week.
(:
Take a pregnancy test to be sure.Health Question & Answer

It's most likely just because you are so stressed. Maybe take a home pregnancy test to ease your fears a little.Health Question & Answer
