What are the chances of getting pregnant after a tubal ligation?!

Question: What are the chances of getting pregnant after a tubal ligation.?
And what/if are the side affects of having it done.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I think the tubal is around 97% effective. I always recommend that women research this thoroughly before they get it done because, even though doctors commonly recognize this as a real thing, there ARE side effects. The procedure has a pretty large chance of messing with your hormones and the side effects can be something like what you would expect on hormonal birth control, like mood swings, depression, anxiety, irritability, low sex drive, and facial hair growth. Like I said, doctors don't commonly mention that this COULD happen after a tubal, and these side effects would last until either the woman got on anti-depressants or had a TT(tubal reversal) there is a name for this condition and it is called PTLS or Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome. So google that if you want to know more. The reversal isn't always effective either. I got a copper IUD because to me, that sounded like the best option with the least side effects. I love my IUD, I WAS considering the tubal before I heard of PTLS and then I decided not to. Good luck with whatever you do.Health Question & Answer
