Yes you can! I had a breast reduction a year ago and my insurance paid for it all! It is very expense and I totally understand what you are going through! What you need to do is make an appointment with a plastic surgeon but please research them well first! Then you will tell him your reasons behind wanting a reduction. For example, back pain, shoulder pain, ridges in your shoulders, not being able to do physical activity and make sure to tell them it is not related to weight. If they think that you can lose weight and make your breasts smaller they will not pay for it! The doctor will write the insurance a letter and take some pictures and then you wait for a response from the insurance. Good Luck, I had to go through this twice because the first plastic surgeon did not do the paperwork correctly!Health Question & Answer

If this is causing you health problems, go to your family doctor and explain what is going on. Then ask that doctor the same questions. also your family doctor "refers you" to the next doctor...your insurance most likely will pay for it or part of it. However go through your family doctor first. Do some research after you get refered most of the time insurance companies will tell you if you just call them and ask. Health Question & Answer
