ok, i asked a question about how to use a tampon, and someone wrote "make sure your sticking it in your vagina, not your hymen"....um can soneone explain what this is and what happens if i stick a tampon there.? O_O

you actually can not stick a tampon into your hymen because a hymen is just a flap of skin that covers part of the entrance to your vagina. some girls have large ones that prevent tampons and other things from entering, and some girls have ones that are very thin and barely exsist.

If you are a virgin, you have a thin piece of flesh at the opening of your vagina with a small hole in the middle. If you push the tampon against the hymen it can hurt and won't go in the hole. You need to make sure you are inserting it into the hole.Health Question & Answer
