Girls, help me on this one - PMS?!

Question: Girls, help me on this one - PMS.?
Hi,

What are some of the symptoms that women suffer in regards to PMS.? - I usually get lower abdominal pain 1 to 2 weeks before my period is due. Is this normal.? How sever.?

Right now I have lower abdominal pain near my ovary (I would assume), on the right. It hurts! Last cycle, I visited my doctor because I thought I had a UTI or Bladder infection because my lower abdominal area was hurting a lot! I asked her to check my ovaries too, and she HARDLY touched them, even though I asked her twice.Health Question & Answer

Hmmm I think that might sound like an ovarian cyst. You should go have an ultrasound done to make sure. If you've never had one, they're really not that big of a deal. But yes, lower abdominal pain usually is normal.Health Question & Answer

Yeah, I get this pain too. It is common, but if you are having severe pains you should research further on this subject. What is happening is that the egg is actually breaking through the ovarian membrane, which can cause discomfort and pain. There is a good chance that this could be a urinary or bladder infection. Talk to your doctor about this, it could be dangerous and ask her to explain what's happening.Health Question & Answer

I usually have cramps, headache and tiredness. I believe that is normal. Do you spot at all with those cramps.? i suggest taken some midol or ibuprofen for the pain and any activity that will stretch out your lower stomach and uterus like stretching.
i think that the pain coming directly from you over is a cyst ( although i am no doctor, but i have had this problem) all women get cyst most go away all by themselves, but if the pain is so severe that you cannot walk you should go to the E. R or make a apt with your doc. i hope this helps you take care rest and eat plenty of bananasHealth Question & Answer

PMS is normal. I suffer it a lot and I am only 12!! It kinda sucks, but it is an excuse when I am yelling at my folks!! :-)

The symptoms I experience are craving (I crave the wierdest things like cereal, bread and butter, not just chocolate!!), cramping in the lower abdomen, headaches and dizziness (that runs in my family) and crankiness.Health Question & Answer

the abdominal pain is pretty regular, though it sounds like yours starts pretty early. you may be having an ovarian cyst, nothing serious but they can sometimes flare up during your period and yeah, its Painful. sorry about your sucky doc, i suggest going on the pill which will help regulate your cycle and make it milder, or midol always works like a charmHealth Question & Answer

it can hurt alot and thats normal, other people experience no pain (lucky them)

i usually get a pimple or 2, i have extreme leg pain right down to my ankles. i found out i had endometriosis which made my periods worse but i also had dysmenorhea on top of that

if you dont take any pain relief already try an asprin or something from the chemist, it makes a big difference to most people with normal periodsHealth Question & Answer
