Don't be afraid to tell your dad, I am sure he buys your sisters supplies. Just tell your dad you need to go to the store to buy some feminine products. He will know exactly what you are talking about. I would say, "Dad I need some money for girl stuff." If he questions you further, just say, "you know things that you only need once a month." I understand your embarrassment, but your Dad knows that this is an inevitable part of life. He might even just give you $30 each month if you are that uncomfortable if you don't want to ask. Or if you just write down what you need on the grocery list and say you were too embarrassed to ask him in person, you might find what you need in your room when you get home from school.

You shouldnt be so embarrased to tell your dad. Although you feel like he may not understand (and he probably wont) he'll still be sympathetic to this being your first time. If you can't talk to your dad, at least talk to your sister so you can get the things you need. i know it can be hard but i think that you need to tell your father that you need to go to the store for some girl stuff...he will know exactly what your talking about. guys arnt the best people to talk to about this stuff and if he is anything like my dad, its embarassing but you have to do it! also, just cause ur sis isnt always around doesnt mean she wont understand. id talk to her about it...just say you have some girl issues you wanna talk about. im sure she will understand and help you out, afterall, she has her period right.? every woman goes through it....good luck hun!Health Question & Answer

Just say, hey dad can we go to the store, I need to get some girl stuff. He'll get the clue. That's how I told my dad. Well at first he didn't understand but we went to the store and I put a box of pads in the buggy and he was just like ohh! And didn't say anything.
